The gene organization of prokaryotes is relatively simpler and mor efficient than that of eukaryotes. The non essential genes are encoded in plasmids wherein the eukaryotes contain a large amount of repetitive non-coding DNA.
Difference :- The Eukaryotes are arranged in the form of octamers and nucleosomes with the help of histone protein and linker proteins while the prokaryotes DNA is compressed through supercoiling using a protein called HU and enzyme Topoisomerase.
Similarity :- Both Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes have coding as well as non-coding strands.
