Similarities - The genomes of prokaryotes and eukaryotes both include coding regions. The instructions for constructing functioning RNA molecules or proteins are found in these coding areas, also known as genes.

Diffrence-The existence of introns and exons is the primary variation in gene organisation between prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Prokaryotes have unbroken coding sections and no introns, but eukaryotes have genes containing both introns and exons that need to be processed further before protein synthesis can take place.
